The Chemistry Building at ANU required replacement of its ageing water purification systems. The replacement needed to occur without interrupting supply to active research and teaching laboratories.
The system had to be installed in the existing space while maintaining continuous service to researchers. Downtime was not an option, as this would have impacted sensitive experiments and student coursework. The system needed to be replaced inline, so there was only minimal disruption in the switching over of the systems.
Four high-capacity 120L/hr RO EDI Neptec systems were installed, supported by UV lamps and circulation pumps. The use of generic components ensured ease of maintenance and reduced long-term servicing costs. Installation was staged to keep laboratories continuously supplied with purified water.
The Chemistry Building received a modern, high-efficiency system with excellent water conversion factors. The upgrade improved reliability, reduced costs, and ensured uninterrupted laboratory operations throughout the transition.
